MY LIFE
Olympic Team Event Special Jumping
For myself, Sports is a huge part of my life. Athletics has played a significant role in my desire to be successful in life. It has taught me to be organized, driven, focused and be a good team member. If I hadn't of been involved in athletics I am not sure where or what I would be doing now. Skiing and competition has been a great part of my life. Nordic Combined has allowed me meet some very special people and has allowed me to experience some extremely different cultures and have the opportunity to visit some very special places. Nordic Combined has allowed me to build some great International relationships with fellow athletes and people I have met along my journey!
Growing up in Steamboat Springs has meant a lot to me. Johnny Spillane, one of my fellow teammates said, "Most other towns in the United States, their kids dream about hitting home runs in the bottom of the 9th or throwing a touch down to win the game, but in Steamboat Springs, we dream about being an Olympian." Our Community dreams and helps raise Olympians because it takes a community to raise an Olympian.
Growing up in Steamboat Springs (SKI TOWN USA) is the main reason I was able to get involved in skiing. By the time I was 2 years old my Father (Tim Fletcher) had me on Mt Werner learning how to ski. It wasn't long after that I started to Ski jump and Cross Country ski in Steamboat Springs!
I spent 12 years as a member of the SSWSC (Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club) and learned from the Nations best coaches. All my coaches have been past Olympians and have passed on their experience, drive, morals, and sportsmanship to me. I will be forever thankful to them and my family for supporting me. Most of all I thank my brother Bryan Fletcher who has been my role model and incentive to be top of my division. I am currently on the USA Nordic Combined Team with my brother.

School and family
I graduated from Steamboat Springs High School. Attending a public School made it very tough to get the quality education and it wasn't that the school wasn't good enough, but I was gone over 50 days each year due to skiing trips. In 2008 I graduated from Steamboat Springs High School. Yea, and trust me I worked really hard to keep my good GPA. After I graduated I decided to keep going on my Skiing Career and to take online classes from Colorado Mountain College. Since I spent the majority of my time in Europe and trying to keep up with my online classes it was difficult due to the lack of Internet and obscure places I traveled to. I plan to take more online classes, and college classes in the future. The online classes allow me to still train with my current team! When I am finished with my skiing career I plan on attending college full time and pursuing a career I am passionate about
MY FAMILY. I have a great family that is so supportive of me. My Mom (Penny Fletcher) has never stopped encouraging me to continue with my dream and has always been there to give me the encouragement I needed to keep challenging myself. My mom raised me as a single mom and devoted all of her spare time to being there for my brother and me at all events. My childhood memories are filled with fun times of ski trips to Winter Park, Park City, Minnesota and beyond. All those cold cross-country races were always greeted with a warm smile and a way to go spirit. My mom married a great man and I have been lucky to have Fred Fuller in my life. Fred has stood on the side of the jumping hill to mark and encourage my brother and myself. My dad, Tim Fletcher is huge in my life. He is responsible for most of my natural skiing skills for both my brother and myself. He taught me to ski by the time I could walk, and has always given me the attitude to be a champion. He is sort of a mentor to me trying to give me SIMPLE advice to keep me going. My dad has been a ski patrol for over 27 years. I have the best time with my Dad, when we are skiing the deep powder in the tight trees of Mt. Werner...The best part of my life is my brother.
Bryan Fletcher. We have a very unique relationship. We are both driven athletes and at times can be the best of friends but in competition we are individual athletes. Bryan has been my motivation to keep involved in the sport and he has also helped me through my difficult obstacles in sports. It was only this year that I have been able to beat my brother in a competition but I cannot turn my back for long because he likes standing on the podium as much as I do. We are a team and will remain that way for the rest of our lives. I have his back and he has mine. I am grateful to have my brother, and look forward to competing for many more years together!
