So as of now, Summer training has begun. So far I have been able to get several good road rides in. But this past week it has taken a drastic turn in the weather pattern and today I woke up to about 3 inches of snow on the ground and 30 degree temps. For training during this time of the year, it is mostly very easy with 1-2 intensity workouts a week. Also this is a important time to get into the gym and do the early weights to build the base for the summer!!!.
So this past week, I had the opportunity to go to Washington D.C. with almost all the 2010 Olympians. It was an honor being in their company. When I was there, I was able to go on a tour of the Capital Building, Meet with Colorado Senators Mark Udall, and Michael Bennet. From there we had a little down time before we had to go through security so we could go tour the White House. Being able to go in the white house was one of the highest points in my life. It isn't often that people get to do that, and being 19 years old is quite an honor. After seeing what we could see in the White House, We all lined up and waited for out turn to take pictures with the President and Vice President. It was one of the most nervous moments in my life. I was not sure what the proper way to Greet the President and Vice President. So I just tried to keep it simple but professional and Used Sir, Mr. President and Mr. Biden and Sir.
All in all, It was one of the most amazing trips that I have ever been
